The Chicago Money Show | 5/15/2023
George Kinder joins Bridget Sullivan Mermel to talk about his approach to money, meaning and happiness, called Life Planning. A pioneer in the field of financial planning, George created a process of helping people understand how money fits into their lives.
First, he clarified how money helps teach us, which he outlined in his book The Seven Stages of Money Maturity. With subsequent books, he’s described his process even further, in a system called Life Planning.
George talks through how to figure out for yourself how to trust financial advisors and the financial system, and what he’s most known for—his Kinder three questions. These questions short-circuit some of our usual postures about money and help us quickly understand our finances in a deeper, more intuitive way.
